Review: Aromatica 95% Damask Rose Soothing Gel

I had first lain eyes on this beauty on Tracy’s (@fanserviced) Instagram account. It was cooling, had a clean ingredients list and most of all it was rose. As soon as I knew that I was sold and of course the only online retailer that sold it (Peach and Lily) would only ship it to me if I paid the same amount in shipping fees. So I did what any poor, kbeauty aficionado would do – I Googled the crap out of it. Turns out it’s sold on the Korean Aromatica website but no, they won’t ship to Australia – another crushing blow but salvation came from the most unlikely of places. Urban Outfitters.
That’s right, Urban Outfitters and they sold it at the same price that Peach and Lily was selling it for. At first I was incredulous but then I saw “Free Shipping to Australia and New Zealand on orders over $50”. At that moment I knew this was to be. I threw it into my cart along with a Rose clay mask from Fig+Yarrow and to make $50 I added in an Anastasia Dip Brow.

I’m going to be upfront. I love this. But why? You ask. Well read on to find out why!

Review: Elizavecca Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask

I have never heard of Elizavecca before seeing this for sale on RoseRoseShop but since it was about $8 I decided to give it a go and it is surprisingly not terrible for a ‘stab in the dark’ purchase. I have tried many clay masks but this one is unique in that it does not dry, instead it bubbles to create a foamy texture on your skin! I definitely bought this out of sheer curiosity but it is not a purchase I regret!

Review: Mizon Nonstop Waterful Aqua Cream

I bought this awhile ago but never got around to reviewing it as it was such a ‘meh’ product. I have not been able to find a cream moisturiser that didn’t break me out so in my last ditch effort to find a moisturiser I turned to more ‘gel’ like formulations, which, this product has. It did not break me out at but at the same time I didn’t feel that this was particularly moisturising. The Mizon Nonstop Waterful Aqua Cream didn’t horrify me, nor did it amaze me but instead of just being an average product I found that I didn’t enjoy using it very much. Overall, it is a decent product that I just couldn’t warm up to it.

Review: Cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin power essence (Possible HG?!)

Ever since my last run in with snails ended up in greasy tears I had simply placed all snails into the ‘just won’t work for me’ category. For awhile I was happy without snails, then the Cosrx Advanced snail 96 mucin power essence became a thing on the /r/Asianbeauty subreddit. My curiosity was piqued – the ingredient list was simple and clean but it wasn’t until I needed something extra to boost hydration that I gave this any serious thought.
I ended up purchasing this in my most recent RRS haul (it was about $11USD without shipping) and since using it, I can honestly say that it has become indispensable to my routine.

unboxing Memebox Office essentials – AKA the O.L. box

Honestly, I’ve never got onto the Memebox bandwagon but I had recently won the Office Essentials box (they should’ve just called it the “OL* box”!) from a giveaway Chee was holding thanks to Memebox sponsoring it. This is the very first time I’m trying a box and there are some major misses but a few hits as well!
Also, because my usual camera is at my boyfriend’s new place I’ve just resorted to using a cool-toned LED lamp and the back facing Iphone camera for photos in this post! Let me know what you think! Are they noticeably potato-quality or would you not have even noticed if I didn’t mention it? Anyway! On to the unboxing~
