Ah, another Its Skin – Babyface product. This one wasn’t that much of a fail when I compare it to the BB cream, it is still irresistably cute but this time I feel that it actually does what it says on the bottle.

Basically… It’s a mattifying powder that is translucent so you can (theoretically) use this over any foundation base to keep the oil at bay.
The good stuff… The powder is milled very finely and when powdered on there isn’t a noticeable whiteness. I don’t have an oily skin type (I’m normal/combination) so I can’t speak for it’s longevity if you battle oiliness but it seems to do a pretty good job for me. I use it over my sunscreen to take the sunscreen sheen off. There isn’t a particularly strong smell either, smelling faintly of baby powder which, works fine for me as I’ve seemingly developed an aversion to fragrant face products.
Issues: The included puff, while cute, is not very useful for applying the product. Application with the puff is difficult, annoying and patchy at best. To get around the mentioned issue, I just use a regular powder brush which works a treat. However, I do need to tap some product out of the tub onto the surface of the powder dispenser to avoid picking up too much powder. I only use the puff to stop the powder from exploding everywhere in the tub when I carry it with me.
In a Nutshell:
Love: Cute, does what its intended for, doesn’t feel uncomfortable, has little scent.
Do not love: The included puff does not apply the powder very well.
Repurchase? Probably not. I haven’t been really overly amazed with it.
I rate it: 3/5 Does the job but nothing fantastic.
