Wow, it’s been a long time since my regular review posts have been put out! I hope everyone has had a great holiday and a fantastic start to the new year ^_^!
Today I bring you a review of See By Chloe Eau de parfum. Now normally I’m not a big fan of perfumes and the like but a holiday sale stacked with a friend’s work discount made me decide to take the plunge. The top notes appealed to me but I wasn’t sure of the base notes when I purchased this. I’m glad I did though because I absolutely love it!
I won’t pretend to know a heap about perfumes but these are just my impressions of this perfume after a few weeks of use.
The first time you smell it, it has a thick honeyed scent but it’s not a sickly kind of sweet. I think the base notes really differs from one person to another, as I felt that it mellows out into a musky vanilla on my skin but I’ve read reviews that mentions that it settles into a very floral scent. Longevity of this perfume is also varied depending on skin type, I find that this perfume lasts a whole day while others have noted that it is a very fleeting scent.
It’s packaged into a lovely glass bottle in the shape of a bird cage with three little feet on the bottom of the bottle. The cap closes firmly but I wouldn’t recommend picking up the bottle from the cap.
Personally I love this scent and I find myself using it every time I go out as it isn’t a cloying sweet scent, nor is it an older lady type musk – it will probably appeal to the 18-35 age group but the final results and how much you like it is totally dependent on how you wear it (sprayed over clothes, dabbed on pulse points or sprayed directly onto the body) and what your skin chemistry is like. As always, try it on before you buy it!
In a nutshell…
Love: Top notes have a well rounded sweetness and base notes settles into a lovely vanilla musk. Longevity is there, with this perfume lasting the whole day.
Do not love: Nothing! This perfume is my current HG!
I rate it: 5/5
Have you tried See By Chloe? What did you think? Love it or hate it, I’d love to know why!
