I bought this awhile ago because I was interested in the brush applicator and it looked so sleek! It would take up almost no space in my make up kit and I so wanted to love this liner but I just couldn’t! So much sobs, but! This product could work for you, read on to find out more!
Basically… It’s a liquid eyeliner with a brush applicator tip (think calligraphy brush with finer bristles) which allows you to control the thickness of the line you want to draw. Since it’s shaped like a pen holding and using it is quite easy and intuitive.
The Good stuff… It’s so easy to use this eye liner! Got a perfect wing on the first try with this baby and it was even on both eyes! Can you see why I wanted to love this so bad? It’s packaged into a slim pen shaped tube and is so easy to carry around, definitely travel friendly! The formula dries very quickly so you’re not at a huge risk of smudging it when you blink. Removal is easy and it only takes on swipe with a make up remover pad to fully remove it all so you don’t end up tugging on that delicate skin.
Issues… The formula isn’t as pigmented as I was hoping it would be and I have to apply over the line I had already drawn to make the line more opaque. It also smudges off so easily on my lids! I do have slightly oily lids but this slides off to the point where you can’t even tell I had eyeliner on to begin with!
Swatches… L to R: Thinnest to Thickest line possibly created with the brush. I applied a second layer on top of the existing lines, you can see how it gets darker when you apply another layer.
In a Nutshell:
Love: Ease of application, dries quickly upon application, removal is quick and easy and travel friendly packaging
Do not love: Formula isn’t as opaque as I’d like and it smudges off too quickly for me
Should you buy it? If you don’t suffer from oily lids, please give this a thought when you go shopping! It is also incredibly easy to use and is a perfect starting eyeliner for that niece, daughter, sister, any woman in your life starting to learn how to use eyeliner!
I rate it: 3/5
